Be a Lifeline to Brothers and Sisters in Christ

A Christian pastor — detained and jailed unexpectedly for eight long months — has been released and reunited with his family.
His wife told Mission Network News:
“I like people to know God is really good. And even [in the] detention center, my husband told me that God really stay[ed] close with him. I [would also] like this message or story [to] influence other churches: We can hold our faith until we meet with Jesus.”
This sister’s response reminds me of 2 Corinthians 4:8-9:
“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”
Certainly there is unspeakable pain in this world. Far more than you or I can comprehend.
But the eternal reward awaiting persecuted believers like this committed couple is also incomprehensively more than we can understand or hope for!
I encourage you to give today to minister to those who are hard pressed on every side, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down but not destroyed.
