Some 40 armed Muslims — all carrying iron rods, sticks, and guns — stormed a Pakistani Christian church, firing into the air to scare the congregation and pelting the church building with bricks.

How did one church spokesman respond?

“We want justice and will not stop our prayer meetings just because of these hate mongers.”

Spoken like a believer who knows his “citizenship is in heaven,” as Philippians 3:20 says.

• Please pray that believers facing abuse like this, in Pakistan and elsewhere, will not be intimidated by anti-Christian hostilities.

• Pray that they will find peace in constantly seeking the Lord.

• And give today to encourage and support them in Jesus’ name.

Your generosity will feed the hungry, give hope to the hopeless, and keep those who live in oppressive regimes focused on their Savior even in the darkest times.
