The militants came with guns and confronted Anjeet* about his faith in Jesus:

“Repeat the chants of the pandit (a Hindu priest) or we’ll kill you.”

Later, at the police station, the chief inspector told him and his family:

“Climb a tree, jump from there, and your Jesus will save your life. If not, I’ll beat you.”

Anjeet refused, as other policemen continued:

“Renounce your faith ... or you will spend seven years behind bars.”

Anjeet’s response:

“Even if you will put us in jail for 20 years, we will not deny our Jesus, our Lord.”
