Pray, But "Do Not Feel Bad For Us"

May 14, 2026

Be a Lifeline to Persecuted Believers

What does one of your brothers in Christ ask of you?

“Pray for us to be stronger spiritually,” he tells Open Doors, “that we thrive in the midst of persecution, that we become more Christ-like.”

Then he adds:

“But do not feel bad for us. Rejoice with us because we’re seen worthy to be persecuted as Christ was persecuted.”

While there is unspeakable pain in this world — far more than you or I can comprehend — the eternal reward awaiting persecuted believers is also unimaginably more than we can understand or hope for!

These brothers and sisters are “afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.” (2 Cor. 4:8-9).

Please give today to minister to the ones struck down but not destroyed.

Your donation to Liberty Relief International will empower our local mission partners to respond with humanitarian aid and spiritual support to people experiencing violence, harassment, and terror for their faith.

You will be a lifeline in an unprecedented time.

Thank you for your prayers … thank you for your compassion … and thank you for responding as the Lord leads today.

In His service,

Mat Staver
