Give Hope and Help to the Oppressed

Ariana’s* story is a wonderful reminder of why Liberty Relief International exists — and why your support for persecuted Christians in dangerous countries, like Afghanistan, means so much.

“When Ariana married Bashir,” reports Open Doors, “she didn’t know that he and his family were undercover Christians. She didn’t even know what a Christian was.”

Ariana knew nothing about the life she could have in Christ:

• “I had no idea there was another religion other than Islam called Christianity. Any non-Muslim was just called ‘infidel’ in our house.”

• “God was shown to us as something terrifying. There was only fear.”

• “When I understood how much oppression and pressure Afghan Muslim women lived under — how one man could have as many wives as he wanted and use them as slaves — it helped me see the truth that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.”

Today, Ariana and her family are living as refugees in a nearby country. The danger of being a Christian is still very real ... but God has strengthened her faith and given her courage to live only for Him.

She has a heart for sharing Jesus, the Living Water, with other Afghan refugees, and so that’s what she does every day — with joy!

Please pray for Ariana and her loved ones ... and for the people to whom she is ministering.
