Piles Of Bodies, Mass Graves, Loved Ones Missing

Extend Tangible Love in Jesus’ Name

It’s a massacre, my friend. The violence is almost beyond comprehension.

Christianity Today reports:

“Iranians are attempting to find their loved ones and communicate with the outside world. Reports by locals described bodies piled on top of one another, family members missing, ... mass graves, and security forces shooting the injured inside hospitals. According to the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency, the regime has arrested more than 50,000 people and severely injured at least 11,000.”

I’ve seen many news sources and top officials say the staggering loss of life in Iran may be 30,000 or more — that the Iranian government seems to be concealing the very high, very tragic numbers of protesters who have been systematically killed in recent weeks.

Iran is truly one of the harshest environments on earth for Christians and others who refuse to live by the rules of the Islamic Republic.

But God sees them.

God knows their pain. And He strengthens them through friends like you.

My prayer for Iran lately has been:

“Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy” (Proverbs 31:8-9).

Please pray this along with me when God brings Iran to your mind ...

And please also give generously to minister to the hurting, meet their needs, and provide practical, tangible love, in Jesus’ name.

Thank you for your compassion.

In His service,

Mat Staver
