She was only 14 years old when she was kidnapped at gunpoint.

The young, scared Christian girl then endured torture, rape, and a forced conversion to Islam.

After two years of captivity, abuse, and a miscarriage, Muskan escaped, reports Gatestone Institute.

She says today: “I used to cry all night and prayed to God to rescue me from this hell, but it looked like my prayers were not reaching Him... I wanted to kill myself as it seemed the only way out of the agony that I was suffering every day. I would also question myself, ‘Would my family accept me even if I somehow manage to escape and return home? Would they believe me that I had not gone with [my kidnapper] willingly?’ These thoughts haunted me all the time.”

Thank God that Muskan escaped. Thank God she found her way home.

I rejoice that this teenage girl’s long nightmare has ended, but so many others are still trapped.

The abduction, forced marriage, forced conversion, rape, and abuse of Christian girls by Muslims in Pakistan is a common and tragic occurrence.
