Make a Difference in Dangerous Places

“In a single day, they destroyed everything I owned,” Jemal* (in Ethiopia) told Open Doors.
“Hundreds of other Christian homes and livelihoods were also targeted as extremists hoped that financial ruin would get Christian men to give up their faith. Jemal says: ‘Their goal was to eliminate Christianity.’ … This is why extremists often target men, typically the breadwinner: because it destabilises families, the wider community and, particularly if a leader, the church.”
Though Jemal is now receiving support — thanks to caring LRI friends like you — many others like him in Ethiopia, across Africa, and beyond need the same help ...
Immediate assistance like food, water, shelter, safety, and medical attention — as well as long-term resources to help them get back on their feet: trauma counseling, emotional support, discipleship materials, spiritual encouragement, and more.
Please send comfort, help, and hope to our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in dangerous places around the world.
They need it more than you can imagine ... and will be grateful more deeply than you can know.
Thank you in advance for reaching out with Christ’s compassion to members of His body who suffer for their faith. And please keep Jemal and others like him in your prayers.
In His service,
Mat Staver
