Catholic Pilgrims Terrorized in Pakistan

Offer Help for Today and Hope for Tomorrow

A group of Catholic pilgrims in Punjab, Pakistan, was ambushed a few days ago on their way to the annual Feast of the Nativity of Mary shrine, reports Morning Star News.

Three Muslim men on motorcycles harassed and terrorized the women passengers in the group’s van as they drove, beat one man from the group on the road, followed the van to a gas station, then violently attacked the group — shouting slurs, opening fire with an assault rifle, and instantly killing the Christian man they had already beaten ... Afzal Masih.

His cousin Harris was also seriously wounded in the attack. Afzal leaves behind his wife and four sons.

How tragic this trip became for this group of peaceful Christians ...

And yet it proves once again how Islamists’ hatred for the gospel — or anything having to do with Jesus — is real … and dangerous even to the point of death for Christ-followers.

It would mean so much to believers in hostile countries like Pakistan if you’d open your heart and your hand to the persecuted today.

People all over the globe are enduring violence from those opposed to Jesus. Your compassionate generosity today gives them help for today and hope for tomorrow.

Please:

  1. Pray for our brothers and sisters overseas who pay a high price — or the ultimate price — for following the Lord.

  2. Give generously today to keep Liberty Relief International ministering hope, strength, and encouragement to them and their families.

Thank you for hearing their cries and caring for their needs. God bless you.

In His service,

Mat Staver
