This Church Waited 33 Years

Turn Your Heart to the Needy

There are plenty of obstacles persecuted Christians face in other countries …

But one community of believers is rejoicing after waiting 33 years to simply build a church.

As reported by International Christian Concern this week:

“After more than three decades of worshiping in limited social facilities, [one congregation in Indonesia] finally got a permit to build its church building. The permit to build a house of worship, which has been its main challenge, has now been granted by residents and the local government.”

And, perhaps most fitting: “The news was announced to the congregation during the delivery of God’s Word during the Palm Sunday Service on April 13.”

You and I have the luxury of choosing one of dozens of local churches to attend any given Sunday … while many of our brothers and sisters around the globe — in especially hostile environments for Christianity — do not.

Stand with LRI today to support those who suffer for their faith.

Whether Christians are attacked for following Jesus or churches are prohibited from operating in Islamist-controlled communities, we must reach out and meet the needs of those who live in dangerous areas.

Thank you, in advance, for turning your heart and your attention to the very real suffering of God’s children worldwide. Thank you for caring for the hurting and giving hope to those who need it.

In His service,

Mat Staver
