Stand with Your Persecuted Brothers and Sisters
Uganda.
February 15.
A witness to an attack on Christian evangelists at an open-air event gives his account, as reported by Gatestone Institute:
“A Muslim came and attacked [39-year-old evangelist Robert] Kasozi, piercing him in the stomach with a knife. While other attackers were shouting, ‘You infidels, why do you come to spread a wrong message into our city — don’t you know that this city belongs to Muslims? Stop what you’re doing now, because for us we know that Jesus is not the Son of God but a messenger from God just like our prophet Muhammad.’ Other Muslims started beating the three evangelists as Kasozi was lying in a pool of blood. They also grabbed their Bibles and tore them into pieces.”
Violence — like this unwarranted attack — is evidence of the often unseen warfare that’s waged in Uganda, across Islamist-controlled countries in North Africa, in harsh regions of the Middle East, and anywhere persecution can get a foothold.
Today, I urge you to stand with our persecuted brothers and sisters who face violent hostility to their faith.
In addition, please pray that Christians across America will come together to support believers overseas … that the Lord will use LRI in tangible, beautiful ways to be a blessing to children, families, and communities in need.
Thank you in advance for your help.
In His service,
Mat Staver
