Hope and Healing to Suffering Christians
The ugly hostility and hateful persecution of our brothers and sisters in many parts of Africa are spreading.
Gatestone Institute recently reported: “Jihadists are murdering, raping, torturing, kidnapping, enslaving, and, in some instances, burning people alive — across Africa.”
Furthermore, “More than 16.2 million Christians in Sub-Saharan Africa have been driven from their homes by jihadi violence and conflict. … Christians are being dispossessed of their land and means of livelihood. Millions of them now live in displaced-persons camps. Women and girls are abducted, forced into ‘marriage,’ forced to convert to Islam, raped, and subjected to forced labor. Several girls have been forced to act as suicide bombers or human shields at the hands of jihadis.”
I don’t know how else to convey the sheer brutality believers face so often. The above quote accurately sums up their tragic reality.
Will you stand with them today?
Remind Christians in hostile lands of this promise: “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him” (James 1:12).
Your generosity and prayers for the persecuted church are real blessings amid suffering.
Thank you in advance for your generous help. Thank you for reaching out with the hope of Christ.
In His service,
Mat Staver
