Persecution undoubtedly takes its toll on Christians in hostile places …
But I am always amazed at their perseverance for the sake of the Gospel and the faith in their hearts.
One brother in Christ, in Nigeria, says: “I live as a Christian, and I’m ready to die as a Christian. … But what has been my anchor and my strength is that we are pilgrims in this world. We have a home, far better than this world, which we await to return to.”
Another believer, in Myanmar, says: “So many have been killed. Please pray for the safety of Christians in the country.”
A pastor and his family, in Burkina Faso, had to flee Islamist attacks on their village. Open Doors says they are “among 2 million people displaced” in the West African country. “I do believe that we are displaced, but Jesus is not and will never be displaced from our lives. He is always with us.”
Faith — perseverance — focus … persecuted Christians cling to hope in their Savior.
All they ask is for your prayers … and your support.
Please respond compassionately today with a generous donation to Liberty Relief International.
We work with Christ-centered partners worldwide to provide emergency humanitarian aid to the persecuted and their families.
Your tax-deductible gift will help Christians in the hardest-hit regions and those most at risk of violence, torture, kidnapping, rape, or worse.
The steadfast faith of our persecuted family is an immense encouragement to me. I hope it is for you as well.
And thank you for your continued prayers for the persecuted.
In His service,
Mat Staver
