Stand with the Persecuted

The brutality is distressing in so many ways …

According to Morning Star News, “A Muslim couple and their adult son who received Christ in November were burned to death on Dec. 26 in eastern Uganda.”

The family had prayed for salvation with some members of a local church who were visiting them at home. They prayed together for the son, who had malaria … and he was immediately healed!

But when a local Muslim found out about the family’s conversion to Christ, he began making threats.

Then, “area Muslims on Dec. 26 set ablaze the family’s house with gas and burned the three members of the family beyond recognition.”

Radical Islamists are always on the lookout for “infidels” — especially Christ-followers who don’t believe what they believe.

It’s a global tragedy … the brutality is not only shocking but is also constant in many areas where persecution has a stronghold.

Today, I urge you to stand with LRI for the sake of our persecuted brothers and sisters who face violent hostility to their existing or newfound faith.
