Offer them help, hope, and healing
Good news to start out your new year …
“Rhoda Jatau, a Christian mother of five in Nigeria, recently heard news that brought her great joy after two-and-a-half years of legal battles,” reports International Christian Concern. “On Dec. 10, a judge in Bauchi state, Nigeria, acquitted Jatau of blasphemy charges stemming from her May 2022 arrest.”
She spent a total of 19 months in prison — and is overjoyed that she is finally free. Her case has been dismissed and she is giving God the glory!
I share in her joy. Together, let us rejoice with her!
But the thousands and thousands of other brothers and sisters who are still imprisoned under false charges — in Nigeria, Pakistan, and elsewhere — weigh on my mind and heart.
Will you stand with Liberty Relief International for their sake today?
You play an integral part in lifting their spirits, encouraging families and individuals experiencing persecution, and keeping them focused on the Lord in times of intense trial.
Your generosity meets physical and emotional needs … and provides assistance like trauma counseling, literacy and job training, home and church reconstruction, distribution of Bibles and discipleship materials, and much more.
You and I have the unique privilege of helping share their burdens, and the Lord sees our response to the needs of the hurting.
Thank you for standing with them … and thank you for your prayers on their behalf.
In His service,
Mat Staver
