Give Hope to Girls like Naasike this Giving Tuesday

Ease the Burden of Persecution

Today is Giving Tuesday — a wonderful time to make your heart for persecuted sisters and brothers align with the internationally known day that celebrates generosity.

It’s for girls like Naasike in Uganda that I write you today.

Her story — one I read in a recent prayer alert — is a violent one:

“I attended an evangelistic crusade with a friend. When people were called to give their lives to Christ, I also went and prayed to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. At home I told my sister that I had left Islam. She told our dad. The following Sunday, after I came home from church, my father and an uncle tied me up and beat me. Then my dad took a hot flat iron and hot water and burned me on my behind, shouting that I was an embarrassment to the family.”

Thank God, a passerby outside — also a Christian — heard her cries for help, got her out, took her to a nearby clinic, and paid for her treatment.

  • My hope is that Naasike never experiences such abuse again.

  • My prayer is that she makes a full recovery — and that the rest of her family comes to know Jesus too.

And tangibly speakingyou and I can give believers like Naasike hope today. You can reach out through Liberty Relief International to Christians in their pain.

Your compassionate gift will provide practical humanitarian relief to believers in need of immediate help.

Our Christ-centered local partners — in Uganda and elsewhere — will offer trauma counseling, assistance in rebuilding homes or churches that have been destroyed by terrorists … plus spiritual comfort through prayer, Bibles, fellowship, discipleship training, and more.

It’s beyond difficult to imagine what Naasike experienced at the hands of her own family members.

Please give generously this Giving Tuesday to keep LRI’s partners ministering to the persecuted.

God bless you!

In His service,

Mat Staver
