The brutal attack on a young child in Pakistan should never have happened ...

But because the girl has been brought up in a Christian home, she was made a target for violence.

According to International Christian Concern:

“A 6-year-old girl was raped by a Muslim security guard at her school in Lahore, Pakistan. ... Her family and members of the local Christian community said the staff member, named Husnain, sexually assaulted her because of her family’s Christian faith.

“When the girl returned home from school that day … her family noticed blood stains on her clothes and bruises on her body. The girl shared what had happened and identified the school’s security guard, Husnain, as the attacker. She said that he had covered her mouth to silence her during the assault.”

When her parents confronted the principal, he lied to them, claiming their daughter had simply fallen and gotten hurt. But when they “shared what their daughter had told them, the principal threatened them, saying they would face problems if they took any action.”

As someone who has been dedicated to fighting for justice my entire adult life, I am appalled at the principal’s reaction … and heartbroken over the trauma this young girl has experienced.

No child should EVER have to suffer like this one has suffered — for ANY reason, let alone because of the family’s faith in Christ.
