This Makes Me Sick

Help Those Enduring Heartbreak Today

Some days I cannot bear the news I read. I’m sure you often feel the same.

The Gatestone Institute recently reported on two incidents involving Christian children in Pakistan ... and just reading each one breaks my heart:

“A Muslim man named Muhammad Shehroz, led a 4-year-old Christian boy, Moosa Masih, to a field where he brutally sodomized and then sought to strangle the child to death.” Thank God, the boy’s family found him in time — his father saying: “If we had been 10 minutes later, we could have lost our son.”

A 13-year-old Christian girl, Sania Ameen, was abducted, forcibly converted to Islam, and turned into the second wife of Muhamad Saif, a Muslim. Even though it is illegal in Pakistan to marry underage girls, the authorities refused to act on the Christian family’s pleas to recover their daughter, due to a birth certificate that had obviously been forged, which claimed she was 18.”

Such atrocities are deeply upsetting.

Abuse like this compels me to act on behalf of the children and families who pay this kind of price for their faith in Christ.

Will you take action along with me today?

Will you pray for these children, their parents, and their future in a nation where believers are daily targeted and attacked?

Will you stand with Liberty Relief International to minister to persecuted individuals and communities who face tragedy after tragedy?

  • You’ll provide the tangible, practical love of Christ to believers targeted relentlessly for their faith.

  • You’ll give hope to the hurting, strengthen families in search of peace, and let them know you’re willing to share their burdens, as Jesus does.

Thank you. God bless you. And may God have mercy on these two children and their families today.

In His service,

Mat Staver
