Rescued in Canoes

Rush Emergency Relief TODAY

First-person accounts of Hurricane Helene’s devastation are still being reported nationwide as families continue to dig out of the debris.

A man named Delmus described the rapid flooding of his North Carolina residence, explaining to Fox News “that the water rose so quickly from the creeks that in mere minutes, 4 feet of water stood in his home, prompting the family to be rescued in canoes.”

Delmus said his wife and family were left “with just a few shoes and clothes” after Helene wreaked havoc on their neighborhood. “‘As bad as it was for us, I know there’s other people that are even worse (off) … we had a neighbor get killed in her house. … So, we’re just thankful we are all alive.’”

  • Thousands of Americans share that sentiment after two significant hurricanes, Helene and Milton, hit the Southeast with force — while coming to grips with the loss of absolutely everything they owned.

  • More than 200 people lost their lives in the storms — their loved ones now in mourning.

It is for their sake that I ask you to send emergency aid and spiritual support immediately.

At the end of his interview with Fox, Delmus said: “God is good and, you know, we’re not hurt, but it’s just going to be a long, long road back if we can build it back.”

Please stand with families like this one to help them rebuild.

Your compassionate gift to Liberty Relief International will get physical relief and spiritual comfort — via trusted Christian partners — to the people and communities that were hardest hit and most severely impacted.

The road back will indeed be long and challenging for so many … but your support will strengthen them along the way.

Thank you for your kindness and prayers.

In His service,

Mat Staver
