On the heels of Hurricane Helene comes yet another storm.

While survivors in the Southeast are still recovering from the destruction Helene left in its path, they’re also now bracing for Hurricane Milton.

With evacuation orders issued in parts of Florida, “forecasters warned of a possible 8- to 12-foot (2.4- to 3.6-meter) storm surge in Tampa Bay. That’s the highest ever predicted for the region and nearly double the levels reached two weeks ago,” reports the Associated Press.

Widespread flooding is again expected on the Gulf Coast of the state, and individuals and families — exhausted and still grappling with the extent of damage from Helene — are now faced with yet another looming crisis.

I urge you: PLEASE help storm victims immediately. Get them relief as soon as possible.
