"Grabbed and Flogged Publicly" in Uganda

Stand with Survivors of Persecution

When two evangelists took a wrong turn on their way to a community in Uganda, they were met by several “angry Muslims” who had been looking for them, reports Morning Star News.

Soon, the two men found themselves being attacked — “grabbed and flogged publicly.” One man’s leg was broken.

After the attackers “tore their Bibles and tracts to pieces and destroyed them” — then abandoned them in a nearby village — “a good Samaritan” stopped to help, taking them both to a local hospital.

While I’m grateful these Christians survived, I’m reminded yet again how horribly believers suffer in other countries because of their faith.

Radical Islam is on the hunt for “infidels” — anyone, especially Christ-followers, who don’t believe what they believe.

It’s a global tragedy ... the brutality is shocking yet constant.

All of this is evidence of the unseen warfare being waged in Uganda, across Islamist-controlled countries in North Africa, in ruthless regions of the Middle East, and anywhere persecution can get a foothold.

Today, I urge you to stand with LRI for the sake of our persecuted brothers and sisters who face violent hostility to their faith.

Your gift to Liberty Relief International today will help our Christ-centered partners provide resources like emergency food, water, aid, necessities, and access to health care … and even spiritual and emotional support like trauma counseling, discipleship materials, Bibles, and more.

In addition, please pray that Christians across America will come together to support believers overseas … that the Lord will use LRI to be a tangible blessing to individuals, children, families, and communities in need.

Please respond as generously as you can to help comfort and sustain members of the persecuted church.

Thank you in advance for your help. Our brothers and sisters in Christ need it more than we can imagine.

In His service,

Mat Staver
