Share Their Burdens Today

It’s difficult to imagine the kind of pressure Christians are under in the Middle East — surrounded by hostile, hateful neighbors who, at any moment, could attack you or your family simply because you follow Jesus.
According to Morning Star News:
“An Islamist cleric presided over the forced conversion of two Christians in Sialkot District, Pakistan after they were tortured into reciting the Islamic conversion creed, sources said. Azam Masih, 28, and his brother, Nadeem Masih, were abducted, beaten with iron rods and pressured to convert to Islam.”
Sadly, this isn’t the only tragic news out of Pakistan this week.
Morning Star also reported that “Muslim gunmen shouting threats against Christians shot a 14-year-old Christian dead on Monday.”
An eighth grader at the market — an innocent bystander — was killed by armed Muslim men, who believe “no Christian in the area should be left alive” and opened fire on a group of people.
Prayer for our persecuted brothers and sisters is so important, as you know. I encourage you to intercede for the needs of believers in Pakistan and other areas where it’s dangerous, even deadly, to follow Christ.
But I believe you and I can also go one step further:
Provide the tangible, practical love of Christ to believers targeted daily for their faith.
You’ll give hope to the hurting, strengthen families in search of peace, and let them know you’re willing to share their burdens, as Jesus does.
Please be compassionate on their behalf today.
Thank you.
