Christians in Afghanistan cannot trust the courts — or even their neighbors.

“Many Christians have gone underground to avoid being kidnapped [and tortured] by the Taliban ‘courts.’... In an interview with Mission News Network, Lana Silk, [the USA CEO of] Transform Iran, said, ‘The Taliban are offering money for Afghans to turn in any Christians they know. And Afghans are desperate, further heightening the security risk [to] Christians.’”

Believers there are under intense pressure to keep their faith a secret … to further isolate themselves from Muslim family members, neighbors, co-workers — anyone and everyone who might be waiting to “turn them in.”
