As an angry Islamist mob of 10,000 people tore through communities and destroyed Christian homes and churches in Pakistan, a local church leader took to Twitter to describe the violence …

Breitbart reported: “Bishop Azad Marshall, the president bishop of the Church of Pakistan, posted a message”:

Words fail me as I write this. We, Bishops, Priests and lay people are deeply pained and distressed at the Jaranwala incident in the Faisalabad District in Pakistan. A church building is being burnt as I type this message. Bibles have been desecrated and Christians have been tortured and [harassed] having been falsely accused of violating the Holy Quran.

I urge you to put yourself in the shoes of a Pakistani believer, for just a moment or two, and then give compassionately to meet the heavy needs weighing on Christians there today.

Although Pakistan’s government has taken some corrective action, Christians still fear for their lives.
