“The mob attack by Muslim extremists was sparked … when two Christian brothers were charged with blasphemy for allegedly desecrating the Quran.”—International Christian Concern

I’m sure you have heard about the terror Pakistani believers are facing now …
“The Christian community in Jaranwala, Pakistan, is reeling in the aftermath of an attack by a Muslim mob that vandalized hundreds of homes, churches, and businesses and left families destitute,” International Christian Concern reports. “The violence has sparked international outrage, spread fear among Christians and fomented underlying tensions between religious groups.”
Some 5,000 radical Muslims ransacked, damaged, or burned about 400 homes and 26 churches in the recent attack. And although the Pakistani government has taken some corrective actions, the fear among Christians in concentrated Islamic areas is palpable.
Sister Mumtaz — along with several women and children — escaped with their lives when the mob descended, Christianity Today writes.
“Gasping for breath, we ran about a mile in the fields and stayed there until two in the morning without food, shelter, or water,” she says. “Whenever the mob’s noises grew close, mothers stuffed cloth into their babies’ mouths to muffle their cries, fearing the attackers would discover and harm us.”
With Pakistan at the No. 7 spot on Open Doors’ 2023 World Watch List, Christians there face severe discrimination for their faith in Jesus.
Your compassionate generosity will lift their spirits, encourage families and individuals, and keep them focused on the Lord in trying times like these.
You will also provide aid like home and church reconstruction supplies, distribution of Bible and discipleship materials, and much more for people who need hope.
Please give generously today for the sake of those carrying the heavy burden of persecution.
Thank you for caring … and thank you for your prayers on persecuted Christians’ behalf!
