“The grim and grueling search operation across Maui’s fire-ravaged communities has now entered a new phase,” reports PBS News Hour. “The confirmed death toll stands at 115 people, but hundreds more are still missing.”

The names of those still missing have now been released, with officials hoping this will “help narrow down search-and-rescue efforts.”

Entire communities must be reeling in the wake of the strong and sudden wildfires that took everything they had.

It will take years to rebuild what’s been damaged and reduced to ash.

So as families recover — as men, women, and children of all ages persevere into the unknown …
