Seven months of 2023 are now behind us …

And so far, more than 2,500 Christians have been killed by Islamic extremists in the nation of Nigeria alone, reports International Christian Concern (ICC).

Further, ICC reported separately, “In the first six months of 2023, West Africa recorded more than 1,800 terrorist attacks, contributing to up to 4,600 deaths.”

I am beyond heartbroken to read such tragically high numbers.

Each one represents a life precious to God.

Each victim a daughter or son, mother or father, sister or brother …

And most of the 4,600 total are OUR brothers and sisters in Christ — part of His Body.

As 1 Corinthians 12:25-26 says: “There should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it.”

So I urge you, to extend a compassionate hand to the part of the Body that is horrifically suffering today.
