The persecution of Christians is not only detrimental to individual believers ...
A recent report from Open Doors explains how Islamist targeting, murder, and oppression of Christians worldwide is also harmful for countries and their governments. Take West Africa’s Burkina Faso, for instance, where World Watch Research analyst Yonas Dembele notes the impact of Christians being targeted time and time again …
“The targeted violence has resulted in the closure and destruction of Christian schools and further disrupts education. Not only are Christian students thereby deprived of their right to education; the loss of educational institutions disrupts the social fabric and diminishes the prospects of progress and resilience among Christian communities. ... Addressing the security concerns and protecting the rights of Christians are imperative steps for the government to take in promoting stability, fostering religious tolerance, and rebuilding affected communities which can then thrive and contribute to the overall development of the country.”
Bottom line: When Christians flourish, so do communities and nations.
Having just celebrated the blessings of freedom on the Fourth of July, I am reminded of all the ways friends like you provide persecuted Christians freedom as you offer relief from the brutality they experience, especially in regions under radical Islamic rule.
Through your support of Liberty Relief International:
You minister to their physical needs — feeding them, clothing them, giving them water, shelter, and safety.
You intervene — by way of our partners on the ground — and offer spiritual and emotional encouragement in the name of Jesus Christ, the One who brings healing to the broken.
You send Bibles and Gospel-driven discipleship materials to strengthen our brothers and sisters in their faith and root God’s Word in their hearts.
Your generosity on their behalf cuts through their pain — lightens their load — lifts their burden.
They feel your love … even when you can only be there in spirit!
Please give generously to support our brothers and sisters around the globe.
