Sudan's Christians Fear for Their Lives

Rush Emergency Aid to the Hungry and Hurting

I told you earlier this week about the intensifying violence in Sudan …

According to Reuters: “Since fighting erupted on April 15, air strikes and artillery have killed at least 512 people, wounded nearly 4,200, destroyed hospitals and limited food distribution in the vast nation where a third of the 46 million people were already reliant on humanitarian aid.”

Open Doors said:

As the country hits the news with another crisis, there are fears over what it could mean for Christians not only in Sudan but beyond its borders.

“This war offers another opportunity for Islamists to take over,” said Fikiru*, an Open Doors research expert for East Africa. “Sudan is a big country and most of its neighbours are fragile with their own struggles. If the situation deteriorated badly, it will have implications for Christians around the region.”

With so little time to act on our brothers and sisters’ behalf, I urge you as strongly as I can to give generously to provide what so many need today …

Emergency food, clean water, shelter, trauma counseling, emotional and spiritual support, and more.

Innocent bystanders trapped in a nation at war with itself need the compassion of Christ — and YOUR immediate action.

Please pray for an end to the violence.

And please give to minister to the needs of individuals and families who fear for their lives — who don’t know what tomorrow holds … but who know Who holds their future.

Thank you for your generosity.
