Church Attacked, Pastor Shot During Service

Strengthen and Support Persecuted Believers

There’s a reason Nigeria ranks so highly on Open Doors’ latest World Watch List.

At No. 6 of the top 50 countries where it is most dangerous to be a Christian, Nigeria is home to persecution that is, according to Open Doors, “extreme and often brutally violent, as Islamic militants and armed bandits attack with increasing impunity.”

Case in point: CBN News has just reported that “Armed assailants attacked a Christian church [recently], shooting and wounding its pastor, and kidnapping more than two dozen people. … [So far,] nine of the abducted people were able to escape and had returned to the community.”

This kind of violence is tragically commonplace in many areas of Nigeria.

My heart breaks at how needless such violence and fearmongering is. Innocent people are being relentlessly terrorized solely because of their faith.

So I ask you boldly: Stand with our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ!

Your generous gift to Liberty Relief International will help provide for persecuted Christians in desperate need of help and hope today.

Our partners on the ground in places like Nigeria, Pakistan, Iran, throughout the Middle East and beyond offer:

Emergency aid like food, water, shelter and safety.

Critically needed trauma counseling.

Literacy and job training.

Help in rebuilding churches and homes destroyed in attacks.

Bibles and study materials.

Discipleship training for new believers.

And more.

Your contribution to LRI will minister to those facing cruelty, brutality and heartache.

In the busyness of our lives, let us not forget the needs of our brothers and sisters around the world. Together, let’s honor and support our persecuted family members every day—through prayer, advocacy and action.

Thank you for your role in our efforts on their behalf!
