“As winter edges ever closer in Ukraine, many neighbors are racing against time to save what little they have left,” says a recent update from one of our ministry partners serving in the hardest-hit areas of the war-torn nation.

It continues:

An apartment building in Irpin was hit during some of the heaviest fighting in March. Heavy rains in September caused even more damage, but many are determined to push ahead with the repairs.

“We are slowly rebuilding, we have bought wood, and we are installing the roof, but many are not even considering the option that they won’t finish it before winter.” As the weather becomes colder, millions of Ukrainians are trying to prepare for what they know will be an extremely difficult winter, rushing to repair their homes and secure enough fuel to stay warm.

Through LRI’s Christ-centered partners, you can provide “Tiny Houses”—small shelters that will keep the warmth in and the bitter cold out—for Ukrainians in desperate need of the basics as winter sets in.

Your support will also offer food, water, blankets and supplies to people who have lost everything … as well as spiritual and emotional support to men, women and children in need of hope.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ,” Galatians 6:2 says.
