Hope after the Hurricane

If you have been through a life-or-death emergency, you may be able to relate to what victims of Hurricane Ian experienced physically and emotionally when the storm hit their homes … with them inside!

According to the Associated Press, one man recalled: “I literally watched my house disappear with everything in it, right before my eyes.”

Another said: “It was terrifying, because you're helpless. We had no [phone] service to call anyone, but no one would have come anyway,” reported the BBC.

And the Washington Post quoted another survivor as saying “It was … five [or] six hours of pure madness.”

I am grateful to God each one of these survivors lived to tell their story. But now comes the long-term recovery for Southwest Floridians.

And here’s where you can make a difference! Please give generously to keep our on-site partners doing the day-to-day work of feeding the hungry, removing debris, distributing emergency aid, ministering to immediate needs and comforting the traumatized.
