American Christians now face more opposition as fear of God and respect for His Word decline in our culture. But believers in Jesus who were born in the United States have little comprehension of what it means to face persecution in communist China or Islamic Nigeria.
Put yourself in the shoes of your brothers and sisters in Christ in volatile situations. What would it be like to be imprisoned with few of life’s basic needs, to be kept awake for days and to be beaten mercilessly?
Or what would it be like to have your home, church and village ravaged by fire, be forced to flee from your farm or business to save your family and then rely on aid for life-sustaining food and supplies in a refugee camp?
As Americans, it’s so hard for us to imagine … but we must. We must put ourselves in their shoes to feel their pain, to ask God to help them and to willingly give to meet their needs. Won’t you help the persecuted family of God today?
Thank you so much for your generosity.
