Devastating Pentecost Sunday in Nigeria

Reach out with compassion

“Gunmen opened fire on worshippers and detonated explosives at a Catholic church in southwestern Nigeria,” reported the Associated Press.

  • At least 50 people were killed as worshippers gathered to celebrate Pentecost Sunday.

  • Among the victims were many children.

  • “Gunmen invaded the church while other gunmen outside also killed churchgoers who were fleeing in terror,” said CBN News. “A priest was also reportedly abducted.”

An absolute tragedy for these families—for this congregation—for the persecuted Church worldwide.
