Support refugees in their time of need!

If you have seen the photos and newsreels of refugees pouring out of Ukraine and into neighboring (and even more distant) nations, I feel certain your heart is grieved like mine.

Over the past week, more than 2 MILLION people have fled the country as Russia’s military forces attack several Ukrainian cities with a vengeance.

AP (Associated Press) News reports: “[Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov] said Russian strikes have destroyed more than 200 Ukrainian schools, 34 hospitals and 1,500 residential buildings.”

Many refugees are departing on trains, buses or other means of transportation—but some are forced to cross the border on foot, in the freezing cold.

According to the UN, of the millions of refugees leaving:

“Hundreds of thousands of them are children. Amongst those fleeing, many are unaccompanied or have been separated from their parents or family members. Children without parental care are at a heightened risk of violence, abuse and exploitation. When these children are moved across borders, the risks are multiplied. The risk of trafficking also soars in emergencies.”

These children, individuals and families desperately need our help!
