Can you imagine the chaos in (and just outside) Ukraine right now?

According to the United Nations, “The number of people fleeing the Russian onslaught in Ukraine surpassed 874,000 as of Wednesday morning.”

People are doing anything they can to just get out in the way of Putin’s relentless attacks.

Neighboring countries like Poland, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia are where most of these refugees are going, the BBC says, and:

The European Union (EU) estimates that up to four million people may try to leave the country because of the Russian invasion.

The bloc has relaxed its rules on refugees and says its member states will welcome the refugees with “open arms.”

It’s overwhelming to consider, but that doesn’t mean believers like you and me should sit idly by. Together, we CAN make a difference in the lives of these desperate families.

These people need food.

They need water.

They need medical attention … trauma care … a safe place to sleep … counseling … emotional and spiritual support …

They need the loving hands of Jesus Christ extended.
