“Comfort those in any trouble … ” —2 Cor. 1:4![]()

Believers from Afghanistan who were able to flee the country or find an in-country hiding place since the Taliban’s takeover last August are still not “out of the woods.”
International Christian Concern reports:
Almost overnight, thousands of Afghan Christians were forced into the difficult decision of going into hiding or fleeing Afghanistan and the persecution bound to increase under Taliban rule. …
For many families, this meant they carried little more than the clothing on their backs, perhaps a single change of clothes, official documents, and some food and water for the long journey.
But now, with the bitter cold of winter upon them in remote parts of Afghanistan or in neighboring countries, they find themselves in need of support that warms their bodies as well as their hearts.
Be a lifeline to fellow Christ-followers in Afghanistan, in neighboring nations and beyond.
Thank you for your partnership in this desperately needed work.
You’re reaching out in Jesus’ name to our suffering persecuted family overseas, and you’re making an immediate and eternal impact.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God” (2 Cor. 1:3-4).
God bless you!
