Libya to Christians: Don't Celebrate Christmas

Jan 25, 2022

Offer Strength and Support to Fellow Believers!

Authorities in Libya warned citizens last month “not to celebrate Christmas,” according to Middle East Concern …

And “a campaign was launched across the country to confiscate Christmas decorations. In a major city, the local police, after confiscating them, closed shops selling those items.”

If that weren’t enough, several Christians were arrested as well.

With Libya sitting at the 2022 World Watch List’s No. 4 spot of countries suffering intense persecution—and the government intent on targeting anyone who doesn’t adhere to Islam—our brothers and sisters there live under heavy threat of persecution.

Today I simply ask you to continue standing up for them—in Libya, Nigeria, the Middle East, Central Asia and elsewhere—and offer them strength and support amid uncertainty through a gift to Liberty Relief International.

Your online donation will provide for their most basic needs of food, water and shelter all while ministering to them spiritually.

Our Christ-centered partners on the ground offer trauma counseling, literacy and job training, assistance in rebuilding churches and homes that have been attacked or destroyed … plus Bibles, discipleship training and materials and more.

Consider how generous you can be today—for the sake of every suffering man, woman or child who needs hope.

And please pray that fellow believers in Libya, who simply want to live out their faith in Christ peacefully, will feel God’s presence in this hostile homeland.

Thank you for caring about their well-being today and tomorrow! May God bless you for your compassion.
