Reach out with love and compassion

It may come as a surprise to you … it may not.
But I’ve just learned that Afghanistan has overtaken North Korea for the #1 spot on the newest World Watch List from Open Doors—a ranking of the most dangerous countries in the world for Christians.
North Korea had been #1 for two decades.
According to the new publication:
The situation in Afghanistan made headlines around the world, as the Taliban captured the capital, Kabul, in August 2021. Christian persecution is extreme in all spheres of public and private life. The risk of discovery has only increased, since the Taliban controls every aspect of government—including paperwork from international troops that may help identify Christians.
Out of almost 39 million people in Afghanistan, it is estimated that Christ-followers number only in the “thousands,” according to Open Doors.
But that doesn’t mean the spiritual, compassionate and humanitarian work going on there is any less important!
Our Christ-centered frontline partners minister to men, women and families threatened with abuse, torture, violence and even death for their faith.
These partners also provide trauma counseling, emotional and spiritual support, Bibles, discipleship training and materials ...
And love. Practical, tangible love, in Jesus’ name.
Thank you, in advance, for taking the opportunity to be the difference in a persecuted Christian’s life today.
Your generosity does NOT go unnoticed!
