“Thus says the Lord: Do justice and righteousness, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And do no wrong or violence to the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place.” —Jer. 22:3
Reach out to the hurting

Death threats.
That’s what believers in one Nigerian state are receiving simply for attending church services, holding Bible studies or worshiping peacefully.
“A police spokesman said Zamfara State Police have beefed up security at churches and increased intelligence-gathering in response to the letters that warn Christians will be killed or kidnapped if places of worship are not shut down,” reports Morning Star News.
“Area residents suspect Islamic extremists among Fulani herdsmen or members of Boko Haram” of sending the threatening letters.
It is unthinkable that you, your family or your congregation could be threatened with violence merely for going to church ...
But in Nigeria, this is reality—TODAY—as you read these words.
Please simply be there for the persecuted—both in Nigeria and around the world.
You and I can be there for the suffering and reach out to the stranger, orphan and widow.
Thank you for making an impact on the Body of Christ through your generosity and prayers—in Nigeria, in Afghanistan, across Africa and the Middle East … and beyond.
