“Why Must We Live In Fear Every Day?”

Help and Hope for the Suffering

Shocking reports of deadly persecution in diverse countries continue to pour in week after week, month after month.

Gatestone Institute reports, in the month of May alone, great suffering for followers of Christ in these countries:

  • Pakistan--"A group of Muslims abducted, beat, and poisoned a Christian man, before leaving him for dead in the middle of a street. Thirty-two-year-old Arif Masih's crime was that he had tried to defend his younger sister from sexual harassment."
  • Burkina Faso--"Islamic terrorists attacked a Christian baptismal ceremony, where they massacred 15 Christians. 'People are shocked and many are running,' a native in contact with town residents reported at the time. It is the fourth such attack in the nation's Sahel region."
  • Nigeria--"Fourteen Christians were butchered to death, including children."
  • Uganda--"Hours after Pastor Thomas Chikooma engaged in a public debate about Islam and Christianity, Muslims severed his tongue and beheaded him. The well-known pastor, father of 11, had planted 50 churches in eastern Uganda."

These are just a few of the many heartbreaking examples of the bloodshed that goes on in hostile countries around the world.

And it is for every persecuted Christian's sake--for their families' sake--that Liberty Relief International presses on, supporting local partners and providing aid for the suffering.

Your tax-deductible gift today will keep the trauma counseling and emotional support available for those whose loved ones have been kidnapped, imprisoned, tortured or murdered. ...

You'll supply emergency food, water, safety and shelter to those fleeing violence. ...

You'll continue distributing Bibles and Gospel-centered materials via caring frontline workers who are there to offer help and hope.

The global church continues to experience unfathomable depths of abuse for the faith and religious freedom you and I enjoy here in America.

The sister of one of the Nigerian murder victims laments, "Why must we live in fear every day, not knowing the evil that awaits us as Christians in this country?"

But God is with our brothers and sisters in their pain--by His Spirit and grace, and through your generosity and prayers on their behalf.

Thank you for your partnership in this urgently needed work!

In Christ,

Mat Staver
