Be seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. — Matthew 6:33
The New Testament tells us we will be persecuted for our faith (2 Tim. 3:12). I don’t know what that will look like in my lifetime here in America, but I know of Christians in other nations who don’t have the freedom to worship protected by a Bill of Rights like we do here in the United States. We are truly a blessed people.
But so are believers in nations where they are hunted down for their faith or thrown in jail when they name the name that is above every other name. One day we will all kneel in the presence of the Savior, Jesus Christ, who alone is worthy. But today, those who suffer for their faith are blessed because they know a closeness with the Savior I may not know in my lifetime. They will receive a great reward in heaven! Truly they inspire us to walk ever closer to our Lord and show what it means to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
Let us bring their needs to God’s throne room today. Let us also be intentional to give. Show these suffering believers you care with a donation that will assist them and their families. Thank you for your generosity.
May you sense God’s presence today,
Mat Staver
