1. "Five churches were set ablaze" in Kenya last month in just one week's time — "causing a lot of fear among residents" of the impacted communities.
One pastor there said, "Things have turned upside down and we are counting losses... We suspect that the attacks are being carried out by a gang of people who feel disgruntled by the stand taken by believers against the rape culture in this community, drug abuse and radicalization among the youth, and early marriages of school girls."
2. Armed terrorists looking for Christians recently "flagged down a passenger bus at Tarbaj, Wajir State. During the attack the gunmen separated men from women, interrogating them."
Thankfully, no one was injured or killed — the bus was ransacked, though, with items stolen from travelers and the driver robbed.
You and I know very well:
But together, we can ease the suffering of our persecuted family. Congregations and families in Kenya and elsewhere need your immediate support.
As you stand with Liberty Relief International today and make a generous contribution, you'll help our local partners not only provide emergency food, water, shelter and safety for believers facing violence — but you will give them the means to help with the reconstruction of churches and homes that have been destroyed in attacks as well.
Your generosity also translates into:
Thank you, as always, for standing with men and women being targeted, attacked, oppressed, imprisoned and worse for their beliefs.
Please continue to keep them in your prayers.
